Uninstalling

You can remove sample libraries, preset banks and Floe itself separately. To remove everything, work through the sections below in order. Libraries and presets are easiest to remove from inside Floe.

When Floe removes a library or preset bank, it sends it to your Trash or Recycle Bin rather than deleting it outright, so if you remove one by mistake, you can restore it from there.

You might be wondering why there's no mention of packages on this page. Packages are just the means of installing content into Floe. Sample libraries and presets are what actually get installed, so they're what you uninstall.

Uninstalling sample libraries​

  1. Open the menu in the top panel and choose Info.
  2. On the Libraries tab, click Uninstall on the library you want to remove, and confirm.

You can also right-click a library's name in the Instrument or IR browser and choose Uninstall.

Uninstalling presets​

  1. Open the preset browser by clicking the preset's name in the top panel.
  2. Right-click the preset bank in the right-hand panel and choose Uninstall, then confirm.

The same works for a single folder of presets. Repeat for each preset bank you want to remove.

Uninstalling Floe​

Windows​

Close your DAW, then uninstall Floe like any other program, from Installed apps (or Add or Remove Programs) in Windows' settings, where it's listed as Floe Audio Plugin. See Microsoft's guide if you need help.

This removes the Floe plugins, but not your libraries or presets. The uninstaller can also remove Mirage, Floe's predecessor.

macOS and Linux​

There's no uninstaller: delete Floe's files yourself. The plugin files are the important ones, but you can delete the rest of Floe's files too, if you want to be thorough. See File Locations for where they all are.
